“With entries from the world’s best sparkling wine producers, the most impressive aspect of taking part in CSWWC is the depth of competition. Taking part gives you the opportunity to benchmark your wines against some of the finest wines on the planet.” Charlie Holland Gusbourne Estate
Are my wines eligible to be entered?
Any wine that is commercially available anywhere in the world can enter, even if of limited commercial availability or available exclusively from the cellar door.
Contrary to most other wine competitions, the CSWWC is NOT draconian in its definition of “commercially available”. So if you have a small stock of an extraordinary sparkling wine that will enhance your reputation and you are able to sell even just a few dozen bottles or magnums, why not enter it and show the opposition how good you really are?
How do I enter a wine?
Register here, complete the ‘Enter a wine’ form here for each wine you would like to enter (you can save the input at any time and return to it to add, change or update as often as you like) and then make payment here no later than the 29th March 2019. On receipt of your entry form and entry fees, you will receive an acknowledgement of payment.
You will then need to ship 4 x bottles of each wine entered (we require 4 x bottles of all wines, including magnums and jeroboams) to the UK depot of Sensible Wine Services by Thursday 18th April 2019.
The address for all wine samples is:
CSWWC 2019 ENTRIES c/o Sensible Wine Services, Unit 10, Dana Trading Estate, Transfesa Road, Paddock Wood, Kent, TN12 6UT
Download the printable CSWWC 2019 delivery label, which should be fixed to ALL cases.
You are responsible for covering all your duty, carriage, clearance and shipping costs (we cannot accept any wines for which the shipping and duty costs have not already been paid).
- we will not be able to confirm receipt of your wines before Thursday 18th April. After that date, we will contact you if your entered wines have NOT been received.
- neither credits nor refunds will be issued to wines that fail to arrive in time for judging
How much does it cost to enter a wine and how do I pay?
Entries cost £149 per wine (+ VAT if entered from the UK). You can enter any number of wines as long as each entry is commercially available somewhere in the world and each entry is accompanied by a completed entry form and entry fee.
All entries paid for before 31st January 2019 will qualify for an early bird discount price of £139 per wine (+VAT if entered from the UK).
Payment can be made by bank transfer/ invoice by emailing Eva Callaghan or you can pay by Debit or Credit card via the website.
VOLUME DISCOUNTS are available to those producers entering more than 3 wines:
- 5% off 3 or more wines
- 10% off 10 or more wines
To qualify for a volume discount, please email Eva Callaghan or call +44 7414 460366.
